Panja, the Emperor of the African Jungle, is killed trying to saving his wife. She is captured and put on a ship set for a zoo in Europe. On the ship she gives birth to Leo and teaches him his father’s ideals. The ship they are on was overturned in a storm and sank taking Leo’s mother with it. But just before they separate forever, she instructs him to “Go back to Africa and become your father’s successor”.
After drifting in the sea for days, Leo eventually finds himself washed up on a beach and is found by a little boy called Kenichi. Kenichi cares for Leo and through their relationship, Leo becomes familiar with the virtues of human culture. On account of these experiences, Leo makes up his mind to not only continue his father’s legacy but also bring his new knowledge to his homeland.
